Center Coordinator

Job Description:
We are looking for individuals who will work closely with tutors, parents, and students. All curriculum and lesson planning is completed for you, so you can spend class times focused on the people. You will train and manage the tutors, will complete new student evaluations, and will have short discussions with parents about progress or general admin tasks.

Gideon Math and Reading is an after-school learning center for students 4 yrs old to 13 yrs old that is owner operated. Our goal for every child is to succeed in school and beyond. Moreover, we aim for each student to gain confidence in their abilities not only in math and reading but also in their ability to overcome obstacles and learn from their mistakes. We love to spread the joy and success of education to all students.
The Basics:
- In-person
- Part-time (3-4 days a week, 15-20 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
You will interview applicants and train new employees using hands-on activities along with online modules. You will manage the employee schedule and be their direct supervisor and point person. You will do new student evaluations and discuss the starting point with parents. Additionally, you will aid in the class flow of the center, help answer parent questions, and do basic admin tasks.
Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
- Love seeing others succeed and even more, you love helping them reach that success
- Can't help but notice the details whether it is noticing a misspelling, catching an error in a math problem, or always checking your own work carefully
- Enjoy a to-do list and checking things off
- Not overwhelmed by multitasking and working on a few tasks at the same time
- Like to know where resources or tools are so you can troubleshoot a problem yourself
- Open to learning and growing your own skills
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
